Rabbit’s hope for stardom

A ST ANNES rabbit has been shortlisted to become the face of her favourite food.

Ellie Lockwood’s bunny Hippo is among the hopefuls to front a national advertising campaign for Burgess Excel.

If successful the pair will have a starring role in a national 2012 series for the firm’s feeding plan for rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas.

Having been praised for how she cares for Hippo, Ellie has now gone through to the final public vote.

She said: “If I do get picked as the face of the advertising campaign I’ll be so proud of Hippo.”

The Excel Feeding Plan, five-a-day guide to ensure rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas gets the right balance of fibre, nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
