Blackpool pub the Outside Inn has officially reopened following a major transformation into a Fayre & Square pub.

The pub on Whitehills Business Park, which is owned by Spirit Pub Company, has had a major refurbishment that has updated and restored the pub’s unique interior, creating a more open plan layout with additional furniture and new kitchen equipment to strengthen the food offer.

The quirky pub has an Old English Village interior featuring a starlit ceiling, cobble flooring and a 15ft waterfall, which has been collecting the loose change from guests over the past six months. General manager Rich Johnson has decided to donate the change from the fountain and is looking to the community to nominate a charity that the funds should go to.

He said: “Our waterfall is the most iconic thing about our pub; its attention grabbing and many of our guests put their loose change in after their meal so after six months we expect there to be quite a sum to donate.

“The pub has a very supportive guest base who have been coming for generations, and so I want to give them the opportunity to decide where their donations should go.”

To nominate where the Outside Inn’s waterfall funds should go to email the pub on 6038unit@spiriptubcompany.com before 31 May 2013.
