A TEENAGER responsible for making village residents’ lives a misery has been banned from the streets at night.
Jonathon Fox, of Heron Way, in Freckleton, became a neighbourhood menace after incidents of damaging property and rowdy behaviour.
The 16-year-old was hauled before Blackpool Magistrates Court on Monday and handed an Anti Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) with a night time curfew after magistrates heard about a catalogue of bad behaviour.
Sgt Niamh O’Donoghue, from Freckleton neighbourhood police team, said: “Fox has made life a misery for many residents in Freckleton and this ASBO will put restrictions on him that prevent him from doing so in the future.
“Anti-social behaviour is a serious matter and we are committed to tackling it. We want residents to work with us and report issues as and when they arise so that they can be dealt with swiftly.”
And Freckleton Coun Tommy Threlfall has also welcomed the move.
He added: “His behaviour was a pretty frightening experience for an old lady living on her own.
“The curfew is a way of addressing the unacceptable behaviour he’s displayed.
“When he becomes public nuisance number one it’s a way of saying this is not acceptable, you will adhere to our rules.”
Fox is now banned from acting in an anti-social manner in Fylde, must not be outdoors in the borough between 9pm and 6am and is banned from communicating with Corey Gould and Luke Alty.
The restrictions will remain in place until October 2013.
