Pub regulars are set to help a Blackpool charity when they order a pint of their local ale.

For the Bloomfield Brewhouse on Ansdell Road, South Shore, is donating 10p from every pint sold of their signature brew ‘Ansdell 47’ to Donna’s Dream House.

It is proposed to make a donation every month to the charity which provides free holidays to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and their families.

The brewing of Ansdell 47 is finished onsite within the brewhouse attached to the pub.

A spokesperson for the Bloomfield said; “We are a local community pub where everyone can meet and socialise, bringing everyone together, so with such a good charitable cause within the local community it seemed natural for us to run this scheme and donate to Donna’s Dream House.

“The arrangement will take place with immediate effect and donations will be made on a monthly basis to the charity.

“With this in mind, let’s hope everyone in the community stops by the Bloomfield Brewhouse for a pint of Ansdell 47.”

The Bloomfield Brewhouse opened in August following a £500,000 refurbishment after it was bought by the Manchester-based Dorbiere Pub Group.

The group also owns the Boars Head on Preston Old Road in Marton.

The Bloomfield, which has traditionally been popular with Blackpool FC fans, had previously been closed on and off before the premises was eventually sold at auction.
