Businessman Robert Wynne, a former Mayor of Blackpool, bought the Blue Room on Church Street in July.
Scaffolding has been put up around the building which Mr Wynne is investing around £350,000 in.

Internally, work is well on and the brewery area is expected to be ready for the equipment to be fitted in four or five weeks time.
Some rooms have been knocked together, and a new floor and tiling has been installed.
The back of the bar area is also being reconstructed.
There will be a beer tank behind the bar so beer can be pumped direct from the brewery to the glass.
Externally, parts of the roof will be replaced, while the walls will be re-pointed and the brickwork repaired.

The pub, which will be renamed 1887 The Brew Room in recognition of its previous name and the year in which Blackpool Football Club was founded there, is due to openin December.

Mr Wynne said: “Every beer will be brewed by ourselves or come from small regional brewers.”
