Katie Shaw, 28, of Grasmere Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to three offences of theft.
She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £35 compensation plus £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Magistrate, Gordon Elliman, told her:”The bench is very concerned about your spate of shoplifting. You have to stop. If not you will be going to prison.”

Jim Mowbray, prosecuting, said Shaw was seen taking meat valued together at £103 from Marks and Spencer, Church Street on January 18.

On January 24 and 26 she stole from the Co-op, Corporation Street.

Peter Manning, defending, said Shaw started offending last year when she had abused heroin. She was now getting help from specialists.
