Praise for ‘well led’ facility after review

Clifton Hospital has been praised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for providing a safe and effective service to patients.

Giving the St Annes-based hospital an overall rating of ‘good’, the CQC commended the way it focused on the needs of patients.

The CQC report stated: “Overall we found that services at Clifton Hospital were provided in a safe, effective, caring manner and they were well-led and responsive to the needs of those using the services.”

NHS Trust chief executive, Gary Doherty, said: “We are delighted the hard work and commitment of staff at Clifton has been recognised and acknowledged.”
