AROUND 1,000 Marton homes were left without power last night for around an hour following a fault in a high-voltage electricity cable.
A spokesman for Electricity North West said: “We got engineers on site following a fault on a high-voltage electricity cable.
“It happened just before 6pm when there were disruptions in the Marton area.
“We had very few complaints but believe the power interruption could have affected more than 1,000 properties.
“Our engineers were on site straight away and were able to gradually restore power to the area. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
