Popular writer set for book store visit

A popular writer is to share her latest tale at a Fylde coast book store.

On Saturday, December 6, Katharine Ann Angel will visit SilverDell book shop Kirkham to talk about her latest novel The Froggitt Chain.

Katharine, said the book, set in Lancaster, Preston and Scotland, is described by reviewers as “a mystery – very funny and intensely moving”.

She added: “The Froggitt Chain is about a retired milkman called Peter Froggitt who throws a bag off the M6 motorway. It contains things from his past.

“But the unusual Hugo Quin finds the bag, and, using the ‘clues’ within, he decides to find Peter and return it, with surprisingly emotional results.”

As well as meeting readers, Katharine will discuss the novel with Maria Felix Vas on her Lunchtime Favorites programme, for BBC Radio Lancashire.

The event starts at 2pm.
