Pop star Kerry pulls out of concert

The singer, due to perform at tonight’s 80s vs 90s show, pulled out following national media reports her fiance, George Kay, had been detained by police under the Mental Health Act after he was found running down the road outside the couple’s Oxford home on Wednesday.

Kay, who proposed to the former Atomic Kitten singer at Blackpool Tower, was examined by doctors at an Oxford hospital and later allowed to go home.

A facebook post on the Lytham Proms page said: “Due to a personal family matter Kerry Katona will unfortunately not be joining us this evening, however the other girls will be appearing and blasting out the hits of Atomic Kitten. We wish Kerry well and am sure we will see her at Lytham Proms in the future!”
