Wyre Council gives Cleveleys children's home the go ahead

Wyre Council granted applicant Raj Shah planning permission on Wednesday (July 22) to convert 29 Coronation Road, after the matter was discussed during a planning meeting.

Mr Shah also owns Morvern Care Centre, a few doors up the road on North Promenade.

"The care to be provided is for children aged 10 to 17" who are in care, documents said.

"The nature of care is 24/7 care/support and there will be no live-in carer.

"The proposal will create eight full-time jobs and the staff will work on a rota of two staff and one manager [on] each shift and there will be three shifts each day."

As part of the conversion, the roof will be lifted, while a single-storey extension will be built at the back of the home.

A pitched roof will also be built on the existing garage.
