Volunteers from Blackpool Civic Trust armed themselves with dusters, polish and gloves to take on their latest challenge.
Eleven members of the group gave up their time to polish the silverware at Blackpool Town Hall.
Civic Trust chairman Joan Humble said: “I was pleased to see so many members turn up to help and wish to thank all our volunteers.
“The silver and crockery had been donated over many years and it was fascinating to read the various inscriptions as we polished and cleaned the silverware.
“The cabinets will now shine brilliantly when we welcome members of the public into the town hall.”
People can see the silverware during town hall tours held regularly as part of heritage open days.
