Police uncover large haul of cash and drugs at resort home

Police uncovered bags filled with suspected drugs and cash at a house in central Blackpool.

Two police officers attended the house on Lawson Road, close to Stanley Park, at around 5pm on Sunday after receiving information concerning the property.

They were later joined by three other officers who searched the house and discovered a ‘large quantity’ of what is believed to be class A and B drugs.

PC Paula Robertson is pipctured with the recovered goods.

DS Kathryn Riley said: “We found what we believe to be cannabis and a quantity of white powder which is currently unidentified and being tested.

“We also found other paraphernalia which would imply drug dealing.

“Two men have been arrested but one has been release on police bail. The other remains in police custody.”
