Police are trying to talk a man down from the roof of a St Annes supermarket.

Officers received a ‘concern for safety’ call around 8.45am this morning, relating to a man on the roof of Sainsbury’s on St Andrew’s Road North.

Police have since been negotiating with the man in a bid to coax him down from the supermarket’s roof and the incident is ongoing.

The road has been closed at St George’s Road.
