Police close Talbot Road in Blackpool after man falls from multi-storey car park

A man has reportedly fallen from the roof of the multi-storey car park in Talbot Road, Blackpool this morning (Monday, September 14).

Police have shut Talbot Road, between the junctions of Cookson Street and Topping Street, after the incident at around 11am.

Police have confirmed that the man has fallen from the roof of the car park, but his current condition is not known at this stage.

A fleet of emergency service vehicles are at the scene and a complete road closure is in place between Ma Kelly’s and Pure Gym.

Officers are advising people to avoid the area and find alternative routes where possible.

"We were called at 7am and attended with an ambulance. A patient was taken to Royal Preston Hospital," said a spokesman for North West Ambulance Service.
