A woman suffered a ‘terrifying’ ordeal when two men entered a house in Blackpool and demanded money.

The men walked through the front door of the house on King Edward Avenue and threatened the 35-year-old woman, demanding to know where the safe was.

When she replied there was no safe, the men left and got into a car and drove off.

Police are appealing for information into the incident, which happened at about 7.40pm on Thursday.

The offenders are described as wearing hooded tops.

Detective constable Queenie Chan, of West CID, said: “This must have been a terrifying ordeal for the woman and I would appeal to anyone who has any information or who witnessed this incident to get in touch.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log number 1348 of April 5, or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
