Poetry event to celebrate port's rich heritage

Fleetwood's maritime history will be celebrated with a performance poetry event at Fleetwood Library today.

The Sea Fever Poetry Performance event takes place at the North Albert Street branch at 1.30pm to 4pm.

Everyone is welcome to watch this free nautical-themed show.

Among those taking part are performance poets Victoria Copeland and Carol Ballard-Thompson along with popular Fleetwood folk musician, Joe Boe.

The poets will perform some well known works and poems of their own.

No tickets or pre-booking necessary simply arrive on the day.
