Preston North End have been fined £10,000 by the Football Association following the pitch invasion against Chesterfield at Deepdale on May 10 when former Blackpool player Ian Evatt was attacked.
The incident occurred PNE had booked their place in the play-off final at Wembley courtesy of 4-0 aggregate victory.
When the final whistle was blown by referee Andy D'Urso, home supporters ran on to the pitch in celebration.

On June 5, 2015, the FA charged Preston with misconduct and an independent Regulatory Commission found that a breach of FA Rule E20 alleging that the club failed to ensure that its spectators or persons purporting to be its supporters or followers refrained from provocative and/or abusive and/or threatening and/or violent behaviour whilst attending the fixture against Chesterfield was proven.
The club was also warned as to their future conduct.
