Planners seek more time to decide on fracking bids
Lancashire County Council has sought to extend the time agreed to make a decision on planning applications from energy firm Cuadrilla.
The firm is seeking to drill, frack, and test gas flows, with associated separate applications for environmental monitoring, at two sites at Preston New Road at Little Plumpton, and Roseacre Wood at Roseacre.

County hall planners had previously set a date of November 5 to determine the Preston New Road application, and November 18 to determine the Roseacre application.
They have been working since June, when the applications were received, to consult with the public and other statutory agencies, and assess the applications, to ensure all the information needed to determine them is put before the Development Control Committee.
The council is seeking to extend the time agreed to determine the application for the Preston New Road site to December 31, 2014, and to extend the time agreed to determine the Roseacre application to January 31, 2015.
