An application has been lodged with Blackpool Council seeking planning permission for improvements to be made to The Waverley Hotel on the Promenade, close to Foxhall Square, in order to use it as holiday flats.

The plans include external alterations including replacement steps to the front, the enclosure of the forecourts and a dormer extension.

Also proposed is the construction of a rear dormer and a single storey rear extension.

The applicant wants to use the lower ground floor as a restaurant with the remainder of the application site being use as 11 self-contained holiday flats and manager’s accommodation.

Blackpool Council planners will now consider the proposals.
