Fylde coast football and energy entrepreneur Andy Pilley has transformed a run-down Blackpool hotel into a set of luxury holiday apartments.
Breck Apartments Blackpool has been launched two years after the first award-winning Breck development in Poulton opened its doors.
Mr Pilley, managing director of commercial energy company BES Utilities and chairman of Fleetwood Town FC, has invested more than £350,000 in creating a complex of six modern apartments in Northumberland Avenue.
The site was part of the former Long Eaton Hotel.
The other half of the site is now the Lodge Hotel, also owned by Andy, which has been fully revamped and refurbished.
Andy said: “Breck Apartments Poulton was a real labour of love. Our aim was to build a set of holiday apartments like no other on the Fylde coast and we achieved that.

“I am now delighted we have been able to create and open a second Breck in the heart of Blackpool’s holiday offering.
“We have taken a building that was very dated, and quite frankly an eyesore, and created something which is not only great for our guests but for the local area. As someone who is Blackpool born and bred I take great pride in the town and so we are delighted to offer luxury holiday apartments at affordable prices.”
Extensive work was done to completely change the former hotel into four two-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments in contemporary designs in a bid to win VisitEngland’s five star rating.
Mr Pilley added: “It is vital today’s visitors to Blackpool are offered a range of accommodation from the budget to the luxury market and we are delighted to offer something new. The reviews from visitors to Breck Apartments has been wonderful and we hope our new apartments in Blackpool will get a similarly positive and glowing response.”
