Here are some of our pictures from the first night of the three-night event, when Hollywood film director Tim Burton threw the switch on Blackpool’s famous Lights.

Thornton-born Little Boots, The Vamps, Professor Green, Lawson and Toploader, James Edgar and Tiger Heart were among the performers.
