Pet dogs saved from house fire

Three dogs were rescued from a fire in a South Shore home.

Fire crews from South Shore and St Annes were called to Lostock Gardens at around 9.24pm after a neighbour reported hearing a fire alarm at the adjacent property, and expressed fears that pet dogs were trapped inside.

Firefighters entered the property and rescued three dogs from a fire in the kitchen. They then used a hose reel and ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
