Now in its second year, the locally-based pageant is raising money for Cancer Research UK and sees Fylde coast girls and young teenagers battle it out to win the crown, sash and title of Miss Junior Bispham.

The first heat was held at Bispham Conservative Club, compered by Leonine Pemberton, Miss Crown And Glory, with judges including Coco Courtney – Little Miss Teen GB, Poppy Gorman – Miss Teen United Kingdom and Tara King – last year’s Miss Junior Bispham.

“The contestants were all absolutely gorgeous and completely lady-like. We had contestants congratulating other contestants, and contestants helping one another get ready, which made me so proud.

“Phil and Son entertainments gave us a wonderful performance and our judges were amazing.

“We are now looking forward to the final in June, as well as taking entries for Miss Junior Bispham 2018, taking place at the Savoy Hotel in Blackpool.”
