Top Lancashire Police officers pay respects to ‘incredible’ Blackpool philanthropist Maureen Richardson

The funeral of Blackpool philanthropist Maureen Richardson took place yesterday.

Maureen died at the age of 86 on December 7, more than four decades after her hero husband was gunned down in the line of duty.

Maureen will be remembered for her years of charity work after the death of Gerry Richardson, who was murdered chasing down a robber in 1971, aged just 38.
