Temporary changes to Blackpool Council bin collections

Blackpool Council has made temporary changes to household waste and recycling services as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Changes to household waste and recycling services have been made by Blackpool Council.

Changes include the garden waste service being suspended and the tip on Bristol Avenue closing until further notice.

A spokesperson for Blackpool Council said: "Due to the effects of the current coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, we have had to make some changes to household waste and recycling services.

"This is a challenging time for all of us and we thank you for bearing with us."

Changes to Blackpool Council bin collections include:

- From March 30, grey and blue lid bins will be collected every two weeks on the grey lid bin collection day.

- Do not leave cardboard/paper sacks out for collection and use your grey bin to get rid of this waste instead.

- The garden waste service is suspended until further notice (all subscriptions are on hold)

- The tip on Bristol Avenue is closed until further notice

- The bulky waste service is suspended until further notice

- The Rover service is suspended until further notice
