"Everyone who took part was between 80 and 97 years old, but they had such a good time doing it and it was for a great cause."

Residents and staff also took part in a 50km bike ride on a exercise bike borrowed from Poulton-based gym Fortitude Fitness.

Some of them had not been on a bike for over 50 years, and the man to take them over the finish line was 97 year-old William "Bill" Crompton.
