Futuristic facial at new salon
It might sound like something from a sci-fi film.
But a new Blackpool salon has become one of the latest to offer revolutionary, ‘frozen’ facials, using cryotherapy – extreme cold – to treat lines and wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks.
Celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Sadie Frost and Katie Price are reportedly fans of the Crystal Clear COMCIT anti-ageing treatment which is now available at Nivine Salon, on Whitegate Drive.
The facial promotes new collagen growth through microdermabrasion, cryotherapy, micro-needling and skin infusion.
Micro-needling is where a roller with fine needles creates hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of skin, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production.
Anna White, owner of Nivine, said: “Results include instantly smooth, fresh, firmer, plumper and more youthful skin; reduced lines and wrinkles; tauter, more rejuvenated skin and promotion of new collagen growth. The fabulous treatment provides dramatic results when dealing with lines and wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation, stretch marks and improving overall skin tone.
“The treatment starts with Microdermabrasion for gentle exfoliation, followed by the groundbreaking COMCIT treatment, using Cryo-Oxygen and Micro Rollers (which create hundreds of microscopic channels in the skin) to infuse skin with a potent Active Infusion Serum. Lastly, skin is treated to a blast of pure oxygen. Microneedling is incredibly effective and the use of cryo-oxygen minimises any discomfort.
“After just one treatment, skin is more hydrated and considerably more radiant. It’s being called the next big thing in anti-ageing.”
The new salon includes seven treatment rooms and offers a comprehensive menu of treatments including nails, Botox, fillers, Reiki, microdermabrasion and Crystal Clear Intense Pulsed Light Therapy – for effective, pain-free hair removal.
