And the pair's uplifting renditions of vintage pop and rock and roll songs by the likes of The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard and Johnny Cash have gone down a storm - so much so that they now have more than 7,000 followers across the world.
Wal Mitchinson, 62, of Burns Road, Fleetwood, spent many years singing professionally on the Fylde coast in a string of bands, including duo Flashback and the group Ready Steady Go, before retiring a couple of years ago.

Hide AdPals who knew he was a singer asked him to put some songs on Facebook, to liven things up during lockdown, and he reluctantly uploaded some videos on his Facebook site.
Meanwhile son Dion, 29, who also enjoys singing, was putting songs on his own Facebook page too.
When their friends asked them to sing together, a new phenomenon was born, and they set up their own Facebook page, Father and Son Karaoke.
Many of their friends and people who have viewed the videos say it has helped lift them through times of depression during the lockdown, and Wal has opened up about his own struggles.

Hide AdWal said: "We've been overwhelmed by the response, it was just a bit of fun, to be honest.
"We sing the golden oldie songs and I think people like them because they've got good tunes, they're easy to sing along to and people can understand the words!
"We both really enjoy it and it's great that other people do as well, especially if it helps people through dark times."
Dion, who has overcome physical and mental disabilities after being born with the condition hydrocephalus, said: "We've never sung together before - I've really enjoyed singing with my dad."
They are now uploading a new song everyday.

Hide AdAnd it's very much a family affair as Wal's wife, who is also Dion's mum, is one of the admin team sorting things out behind the scenes, along with two of her pals.
Debbie, 54, said: " I feel so very proud of them both, as do most of Fleetwood.
"Dion as he has overcome so much in his life. Lots of our followers have been asking for a CD to be done, so we are looking at doing this and all proceeds going to local charities."
