An open day last weekend to mark the official ribbon-cutting saw the new facility packed with local people interested in finding out more.

The studio will be running a variety of fitness sessions, such as HIIT (high intensity interval training), kettlebells, animal flow, Boxfit, bootcamp and Metabolic Makeover.

It will also offer classes in pole fitness for all levels, hoop and aerial, as well as stretching.

Kelly said: “I started working for Blackpool Council when I was 16, as a lifeguard and then became a sports coach.

“So I’ve worked in leisure all my working life.

“I’ve always been active myself, and knew straight away I had a real passion for fitness.

“I really enjoy helping people and this led me to set up my own studio.

“I wanted to create an environment that was fun, challenging and got people the results they wanted.

“I love training somewhere which feels like a family community, with a great atmosphere, and that’s what I have set out to create at my fitness studio.

“I want it to be somewhere people really enjoy coming to train and look forward to coming.

“It’s in a really good location.

“There are a few other gyms in the area, and they all offer quite different training from us, so I am hoping we can work with and alongside each other. They’ve all been really welcoming and I love the fact everyone is keen to work with each other.

“We are all passionate about fitness and helping people.

“We’ve got a variety of classes on the timetable. Many of them involve body weight exercises and equipment like kettlebells and boxes.

“We also have aerial classes, and pole fitness.

“We have a team of great instructors with different backgrounds and experience.

“My team and I aim to add that personal touch, we see all our clients as individuals.”

The studio will be running Metabolic Makeover Bootcamp, with Jennie, a programme exclusive to Kelly Amelia.

Kelly said: “Our mission is to provide a positive impact on our client’s lives by coaching and delivering enjoyable, challenging, effective workouts and nutrition programmes.

“We aim for a memorable fitness experience that allows clients to become a part of a fun, fitness community.

“We will be looking at extending the timetable and the potential for offering children’s classes too in the future.

“We’ve already had quite a lot of interest. The open day went really well.

“Everybody had a good laugh, there was a great vibe, people were coming in all day to find out more.

“We are so excited to be up and running.”

The studio offers several different membership options, as well as the option to pay-as-you-go for sessions.

Personal training will also be available.
