Becky Currey, 30, of Cleveleys Avenue, has run her Diddy Drama classes for young children since October 2018, from Bounce Play Centre on Moor Park Avenue in Bispham.

But since the play centre closed due to Covid-19, she has taken the classes online in a bid to bring some light relief to parents who need to keep their children entertained at home.

Becky, mum to two year-old Nathaniel and four year-old Alexander, explained how she had adjusted to life at home with two young children of her own, and wanted to give a hand to fellow parents.

She said: "The response has been huge from both new and current customers, and so many people have been messaging me saying that it's been so lovely to see the children have a bit of normality.

"Parents have also said they've been able to sit with a cup of tea while their little ones have been happily entertained by the lessons.

"I must admit, doing Diddy Drama is my therapy. I love being able to still do it, it’s giving us some structure still as we film the lessons at home and its so nice to think of something other than coronavirus."

Becky is providing free half-an-hour lessons once a week, and hopes that by tuning in both parents and children alike will benefit from her fun, interactive activities.

She continued: "It’s a struggle at home and my husband works at head office at Aldi so he has been busier than ever, and it’s been a real lesson trying to juggle online lessons, promoting them, and entertaining and home schooling the children.

"I know so many parents are feeling so much pressure and being at home with children all day is mentally and physically exhausting, so hopefully my lessons allow parents to put their feet up for half an hour while the children are entertained and taught by me."
