It was originally hoped that The Pantry, which will house both Fleetwood's foodbank and the Mustard Seed hot meals project, would have been opened by now, but the scheme has been put back by at least two months.

The Pantry will be just one element of the overall building, which was acquired by the Fleetwood Trust for £575,000 in November 2018, with a view to turning it into a vibrant community hub, while retaining some NHS services in the building.

After buying it from previous owners Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a community asset, the Trust carried out a £200,000 roof repair and replaced all 162 windows.

The pictures show progress on interior work for the project.

Trust members say it is now hoped that The Pantry will open later this summer.
