Blackpool Victoria Hospital announce two more people have died while being treated for Covid-19

Blackpool Victoria Hospital has announced two more people have died at the hospital who were being treated for coronavirus.

The two further deaths brings the total to seven to patients who have died at the hospital being treated for the virus.

A man aged 88 and a woman aged 66 are the latest victims. No details have been released if they already had underlying health issues.

Kevin McGee, chief executive for the hospital said:

“We can confirm that, sadly, a further two patients have died who tested positive for Covid-19 while being treated at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

“They were a man aged 88 and a woman aged 66.

“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”
