Myles Brent, father of three year daughter Sienna Rae, had been anticipating time with family over the festive season but he was found unresponsive at a relative's house on Christmas Eve.

Despite the efforts of paramedics Myles, a market trader who lived with his parents and sisters on Felgate Brow, Blackpool, never regained consciousness.

His death came just one week after another member of the Brent family, his much-loved aunt Geraldine, died from a Covid infection at the age of 60.

Myles' dad Julian, brother of Geraldine, said the family was devastated by this double blow.

But he said they were now committed to supporting little Sienna and ensuring that she will always know how much her father loved her.

The family has set up a JustGiving page aimed at raising £500 towards a trust fund for Sienna when she reaches the age of 18.

By Tuesday afternoon the fund had smashed its target and reached £3,020.

Julian said: "This has obviously devastated us but we are trying to concentrate on doing what we can for Sienna.

"She always called Myles her Dada and she doesn't understand where he has gone.

"We are raising as much as possible and creating a trust fund to be given to her on her 18th birthday from her Dada."

Julian has asked that instead of well-wishers giving flowers at his funeral, the family would ask for any donation for the trust fund.

He said: "All Myles ever worried and talked about was trying to give Sienna a good start in life and I'd like to think this trust fund will help him rest in peace knowing that it has been set up for her in his memory."

Kind-hearted Myles had been staying with his uncle following the death of his close sister, Geraldine, the Friday before.

Geraldine, of Chesterfield Road, had gone into Blackpool Victoria hospital with a minor infection but because of her condition it was deemed more serious and needed to be checked out.

However, it is believed she caught Covid in the hospital and later died on Friday December 17.

But unthinkably, even more tragedy was to befall the family when Julian went round to pick Myles up on Christmas Eve, and he was found lying unresponsive on the sofa.

A post mortem was held but the coroner has requested a further report.

Myles and Geraldine were part of a close-knit family.

Myles leaves daughter Sienna, his former partner Jade Baker with whom he was close, her daughter Tegan Baker, his dad Julian and wife Charmaine and his two sisters, Remey and Shanaya, and his uncle David.

The fund has so far smashed its £500 target and reached £3,020.
