Patients have had their say on making sure hospital food in Blackpool is up to scratch.

This week the Secretary of State for Health set out new guidelines to ensure patients receive better quality and healthy food.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s patient panel have been leading a review into food at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and conducted interviews with inpatients over the summer to get their take on catering there.

Eleanor Walsh, patient experience and involvement manager at the Trust, said: “I am confident that the Trust will be ranked highly on the NHS Choices website in the future for our quality of food, especially following the patient panel’s successful review.”
