Civic Sunday is always the authority’s Mayor’s first official church service after mayor-making and this year, as always, the service is preceded by a civic procession through the streets.

Those involved in the parade will meet at the Town Hall car park, in St Annes, at 10am.

The party moves off in a procession 10 minutes later.

The parade will finish at The Drive Methodist Church, in St Annes, where the Rev Alan Clark will lead the service, which will begin at 10.30am. Scouts and Guides will form a guard of honour at the church door.

The annual spectacle will also be attended by the Deputy Mayor of Wyre, and the Mayor of Blackpool.
