Open day called off due to weather forecast

Organisers hope to reschedule the event for next month.

A spokesman said: “It is with the greatest regret that we are having to cancel the open day that has been planned for this Sunday due to the weather forecasted for the day.

“We haven’t taken this decision lightly but as heavy rain and winds are due, it was felt that the majority of our demonstrations would not be able to be provided safely and in the poor weather, it would not be a pleasurable day out for our visitors (especially our younger fans).

“It is with a heavy heart that we make this announcement as we have put a lot of effort into the day and we are sorry if we have caused any disappointment to those planning to come and say hello.

We will be planning another date in September and this will be announced in the next few days.”
