A desperate owl owner has renewed appeals for Gazette readers to help her find her beloved missing pet.
As reported earlier this month, Linda Milnes lost her 17-month-old barn owl Ollie after he flew out of his aviary.
He was later found in a tree in Marton but Linda 48, from Johnsville Avenue, South Shore, was unable to capture him.
He has since been sighted near Cropper Road North, Marton, last week.
However, he hasn’t been spotted since.
She said: “We’ve not found him.
“We did a search last week with about seven people, but we didn’t find him.
“I’m a bit sad about it all.
“But I want to thank everyone who’s helped us”
And Linda says Ollie’s disappearance has also upset her nine-year-old daughter Billie-Jane.
She said: “I’ve just told her that he’s free and he’s happy.
“It’s been so tiring going out looking for him and she was getting a little bit frightened because we were going out in old buildings.
“So I’ve stopped going out every night now.
“We’ve done our best.
“Even if I could just get a sighting of him and know that he was still alive I’d be happy.”
