Blackpool PCSOs have made enquiries to trace an owner, and have liaised with several agencies in their hunt, so far without success.
The pig is not microchipped and continues to be looked after by a member of the Police’s farmer network volunteers. A spokesman said she is doing well.
The force today made clear whatever happens in the hunt for the pigs owners, the animal will continue to be kept safe.
A spokesman said: “In line with lost and found policy the rightful owner must come forward within 28 days with proof of ownership.
