A former Funny Girls showstopper has hung up his heels and traded the wigs for workouts.
Jamie Warburton, 29, has highkicked across the stages of Paris, Sydney, New York – and, of course, Blackpool – as outrageous alter-ego Talulah Twinkel, bringing sequin-covered glamour and high-heeled shenanigans to audiences the world over.
But he has put away the glitter and brought out the glow sticks for a new kind of workout.
St Annes resident Jamie is venturing into the world of fitness by launching his Clubbercise class at the end of August across Fylde.
Jamie said: “It’s just like a night out with pumping music, dancing, disco balls, glow sticks... but no hangover”.
But will Talulah be making an appearance?

Jamie joked: “I haven’t seen her for a while. The last I heard she got hit by a tram near the North Pier; all that was left was a blond wig and a high heel!
“I will be there in her place though!”
The classes will be held in Lytham, Warton and Kirkham and are open to anyone aged 16 or over who is looking for a fun way to workout.
Jamie said: “Due to safety reasons I won’t be in my heels unfortunately, but I want everyone to come dressed in their brightest neon clothing and as many sparkly things they have.”
Jamie studied at the Northern Ballet School. He has just qualified as personal trainer and says he ‘can’t wait’ to share his passion with the public.
He has danced on the glamorous Champs Élysées and on Caribbean cruise ships, but Jamie says he is a Lancashire lad at heart:
“Being away from home for so long, I missed the friendly voices of Lancashire folk. There’s no place like home, as they say”.
