Little Kaedene Chloe Tablaton’s ambition is to be a Disney princess when she grows up.
And being crowned the winner in The Gazette’s Cute Kid contest is certainly a step in the right direction.
Kaedene, who will be four in February, likes nothing better than dressing up as her favourite fairytale royalty.
And like most children her age, she is crazy about Disney’s Frozen.
But her dreams came true for real when she was picked from hundreds of entries as Fylde’s cutest child.
Proud mum Kathlene said: “People are always saying that Kaedene is cute and pretty and, so, we decided to enter her for the competition.
“She loves having her photograph taken and thinks it is like being a princess, so we had no trouble getting her to dress up for her picture.
“She says she wants to be a Disney princess when she grows up and loves dressing up as Aeriel or Rapunzel but lately she’s decided that she might want to be a doctor as well as a Princess.”
Kathlene, 29, and dad 25-year-old Eugene are both care workers.
Kaedene attends pre-school at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, so is used to seeing medical staff coming and going.
“She sees all the doctors and nurses walking around and has decided she would like to have a go at that when she gets older,” said Kathlene.
Kaedene, of Kingscote Drive, Layton, was previously entered for the Cute Kids competition when she was just six-months-old.
“We decided to have another go because Kaedene looks so pretty and cute,” said Kathlene.
As part of The Gazette’s search for the Fylde coast’s cutest child, hundreds of parents took their children to photo sessions organised by The Gazette.
Kathlene said: “We are so proud of Kaedene and will treasure the picture of her.
“In years to come, she will be able to look back on it and smile.”
