A man accused of having almost 900 indecent pictures of children some at the highest level of depravity has made his first appearance at court.

Paul Edensor, 41, of Elcho Street, Preston, pleaded not guilty to three charges of making and one charge of possessing indecent photographs of children.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between December 2014 and June last year at Blackpool.

Prosecutor Malcolm Isherwood’s application that the case should be heard at crown court was not opposed.

Edensor was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 20 by District Judge David Purcell sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court. He must not have any unsupervised contact, except for inadvertent or fleeting, with any child under 17.
