Not guilty plea to Blackpool sex attacks on 11-year-old

Eric Thompson, 29, of Bolton Street, Radcliffe, Manchester, pleaded not guilty to three charges of serious sexual assault on the girl.

He also denied four offences of sexual assault and two offences of inciting a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity. The offences are alleged to have taken place in the resort between August and November last year.

Thompson was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on October 26 by Blackpool magistrates.

He must not enter Blackpool or have unsupervised contact with children under 16 unless with the agreement of social services and must live at his given address as conditions of his bail.
