Although Parish Wood in Stalmine was enjoyed by walkers, there was no defined path through it and many small trees and plants were being damaged as a result with access difficult for those with prams or buggies

Stalmine with Staynall Parish Council was awarded £3,560 by the Big Lottery Fund to create a path through the wood.

The work was carried out by a local contractor under the supervision of Greg Robinson, one of Wyre Council’s Countryside Rangers, a number of countryside volunteers and one of the Parish Council’s Lengthsmen.
