New nursery set to open

Simon Redwood from soft play area Planet Kaos in Marton has been given planning permission to convert the ground floor of Cavendish House, in Clark Street, on Poulton Industrial Estate, into a children’s nursery.

Mr Redwood said there was a demand for a nursery on the estate, which has around 200 businesses, documents lodged with Wyre Council showed.

He said: “Creating an early years nursery at Cavendish House will give parents a greater choice where to send their child, more opportunity to apply for employment and accessibility for those without transport who live and work in the area.”

Mr Redwood’s application was passed by planning officers following a consultation period.
