Brad, 24, of Palatine Road, said: “The main reason we filmed in Blackpool is because it has such a great character.

“It’s not just any other town in England. It’s got a lot of life to it.

“Being from Blackpool myself I knew it would be a perfect setting for the film to explore the troubles that young people go through.”

The film, which will be available on Amazon Prime and Lyceum Entertainment’s Youtube channel in January stars Paul Eryk Atlas and Sally Smithson as the leading couple.

The plot is described as a modern romance, trading the fairytales of female protagonists falling in love with their Prince Charming for a portrayal of a modern day relationship with love, hate, infidelity and violence.

Brad said: “A lot of the crew had never come to Blackpool before and they absolutely loved it.

“We did all the filming in November and it’s now in the post-production stage of editing and doing the sound and the music.

“We filmed in Norbreck Castle in the big, grand restaurant and on Blackpool beach.

“It’s going to look amazing and I’m very proud of it.

“I would like to say a big thank you to the people of Blackpool, because when we were filming at the beach everyone was so friendly and wanted to get involved.”

lLove/Hate will run for eight minutes and will premier online on January 1. A trailer for the short film can be viewed online by searching ‘Lyceum Entertainment’ on www.youtube.com.
