The Harbour – Blackpool’s new specialist mental health unit – is opening its doors to the public later this month.
Visitors will be able to tour the site and speak to staff about how the unit operates, before it becomes operational in March 11.
There will be lots of fun activities for all the family during the open day on February 21, including the opportunity to design a tile which will form part of a sculpture to be displayed in the main entrance.
On the day the Trust will also be revealing the new road name which has been voted for by members of the public.
Alistair Rose, Project Director for The Harbour said: “We have received great support from the public throughout the development of The Harbour, from naming the building, to choosing the suite names.
“The Open Day is a fantastic opportunity for people to come and have a look at the building, talk to staff and hear about the services we provide, and most importantly we hope everyone will have fun.”
The Harbour is also home to Sparky’s Café which will be serving refreshements on the day from 10am.
