New coaster joins long list of popular rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
As the countdown continues to the opening of the Pleasure Beach's new £16.25m rollercoaster Icon, we look back at some of the attraction's old favourites.
Opening to the general public on Friday, Icon has been created in partnership between the Pleasure Beach and German company Mack Rides.
It’s the UK’s first double launch coaster, and will be the world’s most interactive ride as it swoops around and through the park’s existing structures 15 times.
Icon is 88ft tall, reaches speeds of up to 55 mph (89 km/h) and features two launches and two inversions.
