New club for Land Rover fans

Land Rover fans from across the Fylde coast gatheredat Blackpool Golf Club to share their love of the famous car.
A meeting was held at Blackpool Cricket Club to form the town's first Land Rover Club.

The meeting was the first of many for the new Fylde Coast Land Rovers club, which prides itself on being ‘family friendly’.

Mark Neath, who helped organise the club, said: “It went really well. 35 people came and they all got on alright. I definitely think it will get bigger.

“Everyone on the committee intriduced themselves and people who attended were then asked to put forward their suggestions on what they want to see happening in the club.

“People suggested off-road driving days, club days out, attending shows together as a club, and having a club camping weekend.

“We have had a lot of positive feedback from all the members and support from local businesses.

“Preesall Garage 4x4 Specialists have offered to help support the club in the future.

“I’d like to thank everying who attended.”

The Flyde Coast Land Rovers club will meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Blackpool Golf Club on West Park Drive at 7.30pm.
