New boss named at Lancashire County Council
Ms Turton has been in the role on an interim basis since last August, after Phil Halsall stood down, but the council went out to recruit a permanent appointee at the beginning of January.
Leader of the council, County Councillor Jennifer Mein, said: “She brings more than 25 years’ relevant experience to the role and has already established a strong track record here since arriving here in 2009, both as executive director for the environment and in her spell as interim chief executive.”
Prior to joining LCC she held top roles at Shropshire County Council.
